Account and Social Media Coordinator
Job Description
Rumbletree is looking for an Account and Social Media Coordinator to join our team. We are an established and growing marketing and creative agency located in Rye, New Hampshire. We’re seeking the right person who is ready to learn and grow with us. Currently, this is a remote opportunity. You may be asked to join the team at our office occasionally so ideally, you’ll live within a few hours of our office.
Expectations
You’ll be the day-to-day point of contact for many of Rumbletree’s small business accounts. You must have great interpersonal skills, be comfortable on the phone, respond to emails in a timely fashion, and be comfortable in a team environment. You will be responsible for championing your client’s brand to the team and making sure projects get in and out of the agency. You’ll learn our project management software (Asana) and help manage deadlines, input project information into Asana, assign tasks, review work, send creative to your clients, etc. You’ll join our agency call each morning to help set the day’s schedule in motion.
Additionally, social media is a large part of our agency. This will likely be about 50% of your work. You must have basic technical knowledge of social media, its ins and outs, and excel at writing. You will be responsible for writing, posting, and/or scheduling for clients of many industries. We are currently working with 12+ franchisees in the beauty salon industry which will be a large part of your day-to-day social media tasks. You will also be responsible for creating and managing a content calendar, as well as paid ads, mostly on Facebook and Instagram. Prior experience is not necessary but is a plus. It is important to be organized and detail-oriented as you may be managing 10+ small clients.
We are a small company and we all wear a lot of hats. You must be willing to step out of your regularly scheduled job description to help out where needed.
You must be good at developing and maintaining a working-level understanding of assigned client’s industries, company culture, products/services, and strategic communication plan.
You will be proactively communicating with clients on a daily basis in a professional, efficient manner.
You will attend to the needs of the client and continually seek ways to add value to the client-agency relationship.
You will support the accounts and media team by attending meetings with them, taking notes, preparing meeting agendas, status reports, scheduling conference calls, updating project management software, keeping on top of deadlines, etc. This is a great opportunity to learn about marketing and how an agency works.
About the Opportunity
This is a temp-to-hire position. At the end of 3 months, this persons’ performance will be evaluated along with the needs of the agency, for potential benefitted employee hire (health insurance, paid time off, etc.). This is a great position for someone just starting out in marketing and wanting to gain some agency experience. Rumbletree works with clients both big and small. There is a huge opportunity for growth for the right person. Agency hours are 9-5, Monday-Friday.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Proficient in social media platforms
Major in business, marketing, communications, or like-minded area
0-3 years experience; pay based on experience
