Lori Dennis, Account Manager from Rumbletree, has been named to the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Travel Council. Nicki Noble, the Portsmouth Chamber’s tourism manager, has also been named to the Board and Jan Barker of the National Passport Center at Pease was recently named Vice Chair, and will chair the Council over the next two years.
"It is quite an honor to be involved with this group of industry leaders," said Lori Dennis. "I plan to be very active on the Board in order to make a difference in the future of New Hampshire's tourism industry."
The New Hampshire Travel Council (NHTC) is a state-wide education and advocacy organization that works closely with the NH Division of Travel & Tourism Development and the Governor’s Office, to report on statewide tourism trends, opportunities and challenges. Currently, the New Hampshire Travel Council is focusing its efforts on producing the industry-wide Governor's Conference on Tourism, held in the spring of each year. This year's conference is set for May 4-6, 2009, and will feature nationally-acclaimed speakers, panel discussions, hands-on marketing workshops and much more.
Lori Dennis, with help from Noble and others, will lead marketing efforts for the 2009 Governor’s Conference, and encourage greater Seacoast participation in this year’s program.
The New Hampshire Travel Council has been the voice of tourism in New Hampshire for 33 years. It is the statewide advocate for, and steward of, the New Hampshire experience.
